Unemployment Drops By 12,200 People In Aragon During The Third Quarter

The number of unemployed has fallen by 12,200 people in Aragon during the third quarter, 17.71%, so that the number of unemployed rises to 56,800 people. The unemployment rate has been 8.79%, the best figure of all the Autonomous Communities and the lowest since the end of 2008.

According to the data from the Active Population Survey (EPA) made public this Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), the number of employed persons in Aragon has reached 589,100 people in the third quarter of the year, that is, 21,900 more than a year earlier, which is equivalent to an increase of 3.86% per year.

Likewise, I know of the largest increase in employment in Aragon since 2007, both in number of people and in annual percentage.

In the third quarter of 2021, the active population increased by 2,800 people compared to the previous quarter, 0.44%, while employment increased by 15,000 people compared to the spring, 2.62%. The number of unemployed has decreased by 12,200 people in one quarter, equivalent to a fall of 17.71% quarterly.

In the national group, unemployment has fallen by 127,100 people in the third quarter of the year, which is 3.6% less than in the previous quarter, thus registering its greatest decrease in a third quarter since 2018, when the unemployment is down by 164,100 people. The unemployment rate in Spain has stood at 14.57%.
